We’re looking for an enthusiastic RYA Dinghy Instructor to join our team from March–October 2026. Based across our West London centres, you’ll deliver RYA courses, youth programmes, and group sessions, while supporting daily operations. This is a fun, hands-on seasonal role in a friendly, growing organisation — ideal for instructors who enjoy teaching, working weekends, and gaining experience across multiple sites.

  • Confident dinghy sailing and teaching skills

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver RYA dinghy sailing courses for adults and youth
  • Support group sessions, schools, and corporate events
  • Assist with daily centre operations, safety, and equipment checks
  • Create a safe, enjoyable, and professional learning environment

Experience:
  • Experience teaching dinghy sailing to a range of ages and abilities
  • Previous seasonal or centre-based watersports experience desirable
  • Comfortable working in a busy and varied environment

Qualifications

Essential

  • RYA Dinghy Instructor
  • Valid First Aid certificate

Desirable

  • RYA senior instructor
  • RYA Powerboat Instructor
  • RYA Endorsements (Racing, Keelboat, Multihull)
  • SUP Instructor

Description

This is a fun, hands-on role in a friendly and supportive team, perfect for instructors who enjoy teaching and want to gain valuable experience in a growing organisation. You’ll help create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for our sailors, while getting the chance to work on exciting projects and activities across multiple sites.

Keep Sailing is a fast-growing, not-for-profit watersports organisation with centres in Hampton, North London, Surbiton, and Wraysbury. We deliver a wide range of RYA courses in dinghy sailing, powerboating, wing sports, and paddleboarding, alongside youth programmes, group activities with schools, corporate events, and instructor training.

Our mission is simple: to make watersports accessible, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.
