Keep Sailing Opens New Location in Guildford
We’re delighted to announce the launch of Keep Sailing Guildford, our newest sailing location based at Papercourt Sailing Club in Ripley, just 10 minutes from Guildford.
This new partnership allows us to bring Keep Sailing’s proven youth sailing programmes to Surrey, offering local families access to high-quality Royal Yachting Association (RYA) sailing courses close to home.
Sailing at Papercourt
Papercourt Sailing Club is a well-established and welcoming inland sailing venue set in the Surrey countryside. The lake provides a safe, supportive environment that is ideal for children learning to sail and developing confidence on the water.
By working closely with the club, we’re able to combine excellent facilities with experienced RYA-qualified instructors, ensuring every participant enjoys a fun, safe, and rewarding experience.
Holiday Sailing Courses for Children
At Keep Sailing Guildford, we will be running RYA sailing courses for children during the school holidays. These courses are designed for both beginners and those with some previous sailing experience.
Courses focus on:
- Building confidence on the water
- Learning core sailing skills through practical coaching
- Encouraging teamwork, independence, and water awareness
- Having fun in a supportive and friendly environment
Courses are open to local residents and Papercourt Sailing Club members, with all equipment provided or bring your own boat.
A Growing Keep Sailing Network
The opening of Keep Sailing Guildford is part of our ongoing commitment to making sailing more accessible and affordable for young people. As a not-for-profit organisation, we work in partnership with clubs and local communities to create welcoming pathways into the sport.
Guildford joins our growing network of Keep Sailing locations across London and the South East, all delivering the same high standards of instruction and care.
